THULUSDHOO FLOATING SURF HOTEL
In light of 2020 not going quite to plan, we're attempting to salvage what's left of the 2020 Maldives surf season. With empty barrels, empty memory cards & empty guesthouses, it's forced us to get a little creative. In partnership with my Travel Company, Indulge Maldives Holidays, we're introducing the concept of 'Thulusdhoo Floating Surf Hotel'... a surfari boat, parked off Thulusdhoo Island, housing desperate surfers.
With the Maldives Government announcing Local Islands will remain closed throughout August (prime time surf season), we've thought up a way to bring surfers to Thulusdhoo, without actually entering the island. Book a room on the Gurahali, surf your favourite waves Cokes & Chickens, and retreat back to the boat for post surf beers - something you can't get on the island. The boat will stay parked in the Thulusdhoo lagoon. Day trips to Jails, Sultans, Honkeys and Ninjas are available for additional charge (min 4 pax). If you happen to tire of your sea legs, you'll be able to take rest at nearby sandbanks & uninhabited islands (additional cost).
Maldives requires a mandatory PCR Test to be taken at a maximum of 72 hours prior to departure to Maldives, with negative results in English. Travellers must also pre-fill an online health declaration at least 24hrs prior to your arrival in Maldives (we will assist with this). Free 30 day Tourist Visa granted on arrival. Only one accommodation facility can be booked for the entire length of stay (multiple resorts / boats not permitted). Mask must be worn on arrival. BOOKING TERMS
At Indulge Maldives Holidays, we understand it’s a difficult time to book future travels, so our aim is to make everything as supportive, flexible & re-assuring for you as possible. We have lowered our deposits to just USD$200pp (non-refundable). First to pay deposits secures a room for their dates.
Cancel up to 10 days before your trip & receive all monies paid, returned to you, excluding the $200pp deposit. Cancel within 10 days of trip 50% refund. Cancel 3 days before 100% funds paid forfited. In the extenuating circumstance that your PCR Test is positive 72hrs or less before departure to Maldives, all monies paid will be refunded, excluding the USD$200 deposit. A positive test result must be shown as proof. The final balance must be paid 10 days prior to your arrival in Maldives, otherwise your room will be made re-available and deposit will not be refunded / rolled over to new dates. Last minute trip bookings within 10 days of arrival require full upfront payment.
Flights & Travel Insurance – all guests must hold a Travel Insurance policy & are responsible for purchasing their own flights. The package includes day time airport speedboat transfers. Should guests arrive during night time, an additional supplement of $100 per boat applies per way.
